AmericasMart Atlanta

I had the privilege of going to the market days at AmericasMart here in Atlanta this past week. I went with my boss on Wednesday, preview day, to get my official badge to attend all weekend. I’ve heard of the market days over at the Mart, but didn’t quite know what to expect.

Market days at the Mart is a chance for vendors (both permanent and temporary exhibits) to show their merchandise to buyers. This is a time for buyers to ask questions, see new products, and place orders. I’m talking floor after floor of clothes, handbags, jewelry, accessories, you name it! If you couldn’t tell, I was pretty excited and overwhelmed at the same time. I felt like I had walked into my very own theme park- I had my badge, book of information, and phone out to take pictures. Embarrassing I know.

Friday afternoon was my day off, so I headed downtown with nothing on my agenda but to take my time on each floor. I was able make my way through each hallway, but looking back now it seems like a blur. There are so many great lines represented. I couldn’t wait to find a place to sit, take out a notebook, and take down notes for my imaginary boutique. Even though I didn’t leave that afternoon having placed any orders, I did leave with the knowledge of a great place to visit to find merchandise for when my imaginary boutique becomes a reality. AmericasMart, see you in a few years.
